Alinea Chambers is thrilled to announce that Melanie Cairns has been nominated for two awards in the biennial 2019 Women Lawyers Achievement Awards.
The Awards recognise and celebrate the achievements of outstanding barristers and lawyers, who have achieved excellence in their area of practice and helped create opportunities for women in the law.
Melanie has been nominated as a finalist for two awards: 'Barrister of the Year’ and ‘Champion of Change’. This is a well-deserved recognition of Melanie’s expertise and experience as a commercial barrister and as a leader in the profession as an advocate for change in increasing gender diversity at the Bar and particularly at the commercial Bar, including her role as co-founder of Sydney’s first commercial barristers’ chambers with equal gender representation- Alinea Chambers.
