Leanne Rich has successfully defended four non-executive directors of Dick Smith. Leanne was led by Ian Jackman SC and Justin Williams SC, and was instructed by Arnold Bloch Leibler.
In a judgment handed down on 11 June 2021, Ball J found that the non-executive directors of Dick Smith had not breached their duties to the Company and that the case against them was to be dismissed. The successful result followed a hearing of over 60 days in the NSW Supreme Court in 2020 and 2021.
