Anthony has been justly recognised as a leader of the New South Wales Bar, not only for his expertise and skill as an advocate in a wide range of commercial matters, but also for his commitment to issues of diversity and inclusion.
Having commenced his legal career as tipstaff and research assistant to President Kirby and Justices Glass and Hope JJA of the New South Wales Court of Appeal and Chief Judge in Common Law Hunt of the Supreme Court of New South Wales, Anthony joined Mallesons Stephen Jaques, and quickly progressed to become a partner of the firm. He was called to the Bar in 2000 and became Senior Counsel in 2013.
Anthony has led the Bar toward recognising the importance of parenting and carer responsibilities, the need for equitable briefing and has exemplified collegiate engagement amongst the profession. He has been a friend and mentor to the barristers of our floor. We have no doubt Anthony will continue to make an exceptional contribution to the life of the law as a Justice of the Supreme Court.
