Hai-Van accepts briefs in all areas of commercial law and specialises in employment, administrative and public law.
Prior to joining the bar, Hai-Van was a solicitor at Clayton Utz for twelve years. At Clayton Utz, Hai-Van practised in employment, discrimination, sexual harassment, tenancy, administrative law and general commercial disputes. She regularly appeared in the Federal Circuit and Family Court of Australia, the Fair Work Commission and the NSW Civil and Administrative Tribunal. She has acted for a range individual clients, government agencies and companies.
Before joining Clayton Utz, Hai-Van was a solicitor at Legal Aid NSW in the criminal and family law divisions and a Legal Aid Human Rights Fellow. Hai-Van has also worked on Christmas Island assisting asylum seekers with their protection visa claims.
Hai-Van holds a Bachelor of Laws (Honours) and a Bachelor of Arts (English Literature) from the University of New South Wales.
